OK, kind of plot...not sure if anyone else will be interested in it but here goes.

Larka (me) a wolf has been traveling through human domain. During her travels she met a boy/man (depends on what that character would want) who saw something other than her wolf shape. The two spent much time together before the man/boy's family discovered wolf tracks mingled witth human foot prints. They hunt the wolf, fearing for their friends and family. Larka runs, leaving behind the boy/man that she has grown to love.
Rumors have been circulating around the country of a wolf who has the power to grant any wish to those who are worthy. Larka does not believe the stories but she is willing to try anything to be reunited with her human companion.
Please, everyone feel free to join. Just put down what you wish to roleplay. Here are a few ideas: the wise wolf, the boy/man, other animals, other wolves....it is all up to you. I hope to roleplay with you soon.

Larka Lifted her hed to look at the round fullness of the moon one more time before treking into the black depths of the forest. Her nose quired as a strange scent floated across her nose, but soon forgot it, deeming it one of those inexplicable scents that often roam around this area.
Although the forest made her indescribably uncomfortable, she had heard tales of a wise wolf who could grant wishes. The idea of wishes weemed a little silly to her, but Larka was willing to try anything to be with the one she loved.
The tawny fur covering her body prickled as the sparse moonlight was lost completly in the overhanging boughs of the crowded trees to either side. No one was around to see even the lights reflected in her eyhes dim and dissapear as the darkness became complete.
Using her nose Larka searched for hours, looking for unfamiliar scents. She comes across a promising one, at least to provide food. It smells like new death, and she wondered momentarily if maybe some other hopeless wolf had gotten stuck in these same woods and dies from starvation. The thought almost scent her running with her tail between her legs, hoping to get out, but the image of her human popped into her head forcing her on towards the body.
A ring of silver appears in the forest, a clearing at last. The scent is stronger here. At the far end of the clearing a young male deer is lying dead. He had obviously fallen and broken his neck due to the contorted abgle of his throat. Larka snaps off a piece of his hindquarters, testing the meat for purity from poison. Upon finding the meat clean she dug into the carcuss.
After her meal Larka curled herself into a ball and escaped into the world of dreams.

The first rays of dawn spread across the trees, waking those who lived high among them. The birds began to twitter, and in a certain case, squawk irritably. A large, black-as-pitch crow shifted on his branch, staving off a squirrel headed for the knothole in the tree next to him. The hole was the crow's stash, and the attempt to steal from it was nothing new, if still annoying.

"Aril!" came a caw from the sky. The crow, hearing his name, looked up, and grudgingly moved over to allow the smaller crow to settle next to him. "What is it now, Gim?" sighed Aril, shifting again. He was hungry... "You'll never guess!" "I won't?" If crows could raise an eyebrow, Aril's would have been high. Despite this, he humored the younger Gim. "Then why don't you spit it out already?" So perhaps not humored. More... tolerated.

This again was nothing new. Almost every morning the same squirrel tried to get at Aril's collection of knick-nacks, and almost every morning Gim treated him to some crockpot story about food or something shining in the hope that Aril would give him something in return. He hadn't gotten anything so far. But as Gim went on, Aril perked up. "...You're sure the wolf is from outside the forest?" said Aril, leaning over.

Something that must be clarified is that Aril was considerabely larger than Gim. And when you have a stronger being leaning over you, what is your first reaction? Gim's was to clam up. "Well? Where did you...? I'm wasting my time, aren't I?" snapped Aril, backing up. Gim remained silent, eyeing the knothole. "...Fine." Aril looked Gim in the eye. "I'm going to go see this wolf of yours. If I'm satisfied, you might get something in return. But if, when I get back, a single bottlecap is missing from that hole, beware." Aril leapt into the air, leaving Gim muttering nervously.

Honestly, when Aril had left Gim, he hadn't actually expected to find anything. But as he settled at the edge of the clearing, eyeing Larka, Aril was convinced. Imagine that. Something interesting... and breakfast.

Aril stepped quietly past Larka and onto the remains of the deer, pulling shreds of meat off the edge of a bone and gulping them down.

Larka woke to bright sunlight, something she had thought was lost for good after the all-encompasing darkness of this forest a night. A sound pulled Larka out of her wake-up stupour more quickly than was usual, most of the time this young wolf could take up to thirty minutes to fully wake, but the sound or flesh pulling away from bone drove all thoughts of idleness from her head.
Hey keen eyes quickly located a bird eating enthusiastically at her deer dinner from the night before. A low growl started deep in her chest before Larka could control herself. Who was this crow to inturde on her like that? Did he not realize what she was? The growl quieted as she thought, however. Maybe this bird was from this forest. Maybe, he could lead her to the wise wolf. She allowed a guarded smile to flicker in her eyes as she watched the bird for a few minutes longer.
Finally, boared with her game of observing, Larka made a quick yip, calling the bird''s attention to her. "Were are you from?" she inquired eagerly, her hopes were getting up no matter how hard she tried to control them.

Aril's eyes flashed toward her, and he nodded, his beak full of meat. Damn, he'd hoped he would have more time. He took a hard swallow, cawing a bit as the lump went down his throat. "Urgh... Too much at once." he gasped, turning around.

"Well, nice to meet you too." Aril squawked in reply to Larka. He jumped, flapping and lifting himself to a low branch. "It's been so long I can't remember where I'm from. But my home is here." he cocked his head. "Like to get right to the point, doncha?"

The crow shifted forward on the branch, putting out a wing in almost a pointing gesture. "Now it's your turn." he said, leaning forward. "Whereabouts do you come from, traveler?"

OOC: I went to bed directly after posting mine, so don't worry.

BIC: LArka glared up at Aril before deciding that the threat from this smaller animal was minimal. Her hackles smoothed back down as she sat back on her haunches to take a better look at the bird.

"I apologize if I have been rude; as you may have guessed I am in an infamilliar place, and that tends to make anyone touchy. My name is Larka; I come from west of here, near a small human establishment. I came to this forest looking for the wise wolf; rumors have been circulating that this wolf can grant wishes. I do not personally believe that, but anything is worth a try.

Larka relaxed more as she spoke, and laughed at herself. The entire idea of wishes was ridiculous. What kind of wolf was she to hope for such things.

"After my adventure of last night I am about ready to tuck my tainl and head home. It is so dark. Why do you choose to live here?" Larka's ear perked foward tp [ay attention.

Aril watched Larka relax, and flew to a lower branch. The most trust he could show her, as of yet. He listened quietly, cocking his head when she mentioned the wish. "Grant wishes? Well... There is a rumor. As to why I dwell here..."

He trailed off, and then shifted. "It's quiet and things die often enough to feed me. For now, I shall leave it at that. But many of us come here because it is a haven, of sorts. No humans to throw rocks at us, to cut down our trees and steal things from our nests. It is easier to escape from the darkness than from them." he said, shoulders hunched. "I must warn you, you smell rather strongly of people, and here that will not bring you good things. Many animals here have hostile feelings towards them." Aril said, his black eyes gazing straight into Larka's. "You don't have to worry, I mean you no harm. To some extent I can stave off some of the others. But it is strange... to have such a strong scent from simply living near humans." he continued, the tone of his voice knowing.

Larka smiled shyly, she knew how other creatures looked down at her for her odd preferance. She had not known that his scent still lingered around her though, the fact comforted her in a way.
"Humans are the reaso nthat I am here. They chased me away from the one that I loved and love. He was a human...I knwo that you are probably thinking something along the lines of 'this stupid wolf is insane. To be around humans is just as effective as suicide.' Truthfully, I have gotten to were I no longer care what the others say." She glared up at the bird, daring him to judge her.

Sensing no active opposition from the bird, that didn't mean that there wasn't any, she snak to the ground and looked up. Her gaze darts from branch to branch as her htoughts wandered the path that she had ahead.

"I have no idea that to do. I love this human, and he never activly tried to kill me, but his family hunted me. I wish to be around them, they are so much more interesting than many of the silly animals I have met in my life."

Larka stood, walking over to the deer of the night before. She ripped savagly at the animal, exerting her anger. "Other animals reacyions really do not help." she whispered scathingly.

"Oy. You're going to need to cool that hot temper. Or at least take it out on something besides food." said Aril, flying down. He picked up shred of meat, swallowing it. "In case you hadn't noticed, this isn't just your breakfast. There are others. They're just waiting for you to leave." He gestured with his beak toward the other side of the clearing, where another crow sat atop a tree. "And that one's just part of the gang."

"Besides. I'm not too far from you. I lived in cities long enough to understand where you're coming from. If this is your wish, so be it. But listen to me first." Aril stepped forward, ruffling his feathers. "I was friends with a young boy once." He said, putting his leg out. There was a small, metal clasp laying against his foot. "Friends at first, that is. But he wanted to take me into the city. To bring me into his home. His parents would allow it only as a pet. I agreed, because the boy said he would treat me only as he had before. As a wild creature. But as time went on, the leather tied around my ankle became metal I could not remove, and my time following above him became time tied to his wrist, able only to sit on his shoulder. I could eat only what people gave me, and my nest in the trees became bare of coins or chains. Then one day, after I had broken a window pane on my way out, his parents would have no more of it. The boy came to me, his father behind him, holding a knife and needle and thread. I could remain..." Aril drifted off, looking up. "...If I allowed them to cut away my freedom. I could not. I haven't seen any of them since. Could you do that?" Aril looked at Larka. "Is your love strong enough that, if your wish is not granted, even if it is the only option left... Could you give up your freedom for him, and live as a pet? Would it be enough just to be near him, and to be loved in his eyes, even if your mouth is tied and your movements bound by a leash?"

"If you can..." Aril nodded his head toward Larka "Then I will do what I can to help you through these woods to find your wolf."

Larka looked silently up at the bird for a moment, she had never thought of becoming a pet. Her thoat begain itching from the idea of a leash, her jaw ached as if a muzzle had been wrapped too tightly for easy comfort and still her eyes saw only his.

"A bird is differant from a wolf." she said aloud, "Although I might be willing to think of myself as a pet no human would allow me within their sanctuary. When I left that place I vowed to never return to that place unless I could offer myself as more than a wolf, perhaps not truly human since the wilderness in wild things never truly leaves. I will hold to that vow and not torture anyone with my return. Not even those people who chased me from my refuge without thinking that perhaps I was more than I appeared." The tawny wolf sighed as she gulped down the pieces of meat that she had torn from the deer in anger. "Even if it mean tearing out a piece of my heart I will not return as a human. I lived away from that place for almost two months and if this buisness of wishes does not pan out I will not return. I am wold, wild and I will not allow my freedom to be restricted no matter what there is to gain."

Larka stood, pointing her nose into the wood, she stode foward. Let the Aril follow if he wished she would look until no more hope could be found within her.

The dark of the forest arived almost as soon as she stepped into the covering of the trees, but somehow enough light crept through the branches to keep Larka from complete blindness. She hoped the sparse light was an omen that her quest had a chance, as slitght as it might be.

Aril gazed after her, then cawed a bit. "Good answer." he called, taking to the air as she disappeared into the trees.

Around five minutes later, there was the sound of something falling through the trees, and a black, feathery lump fell in front of Larka. The lump stirred, standing and becoming recognizable as a crow much smaller than Aril, and obviously more nervous. "W-wolf!" squawked Gim, flapping his wings and stepping back. Suddenly, Aril touched down behind him, pecking him lightly. "If you can't talk properly, shut up." he quipped, pushing the younger bird aside.

The two bickered a moment longer before Gim gave in to Aril, quieting. Aril, meanwhile, looked up at Larka. "Well, here we are. Your answer was more than satisfactory, and I'll do all I can to help you." he said, nodding. Gim cawed derisively. "Actually, he was bored, and you're the most interesting thing that's happened in months. He's not about to let you out of sight of his beady black ey- Ow!" as he rattled on, Aril had turned on him, striking the side of his head. Gim moved away, grumbling, as Aril looked back up. "This lump is Gim. He's generally useless, but he's such a busybody he knows most every rumor about the forest. And he poses no threat to you. Or anyone, for that matter. He might help us marginally, if only as a meat shield." "Hey!"

Larka laughed, this silly little bird was cute in a prey type of way. "It is nice to meet you, Gim," she choked out between chuckles. She leaned foward and sniffed the new bird, ruffling its feathers with her breath, the feathers tickled her nose and she was barely able to resist sneezing on the poor thing.

Turning to Aril Larka forced the implulsive laughing away. "So do you know anything about this wolf?" she asked levelly. "I do not even know were to begin searching; I was just going to walk through the forest searching for the scent of another wolf, but that might take a long time. "Oh and before I forget, thank you guys for helping me. I hope that I do not get on your nerves , since I am very prone to anger. I promise not to eat you though," She said smiling, showing off her long canine teeth in the process. Inadvertantly she brok into laugheter again, knowing that she must look quite menacing whith her teeth...
